JOB DESCRIPTION
The AG Educator/Culinary Coordinator for FarmOn Foundation Copake NY is responsible for coordinating the educational and culinary summer programming at our Ag Academy and culinary classes on the Farm. You will be a liaison between the Foundation and the field to lead hands on learning activities that incorporate lesson plans and the implementation of our SUNY program… everything from teaching students how and what to cook daily to how to communicate with chefs as well as implement business planning for our Farm to Chef program.
As Culinary Coordinator, you will be responsible for the management, set-up and clean-up of our teaching kitchen, and act as sous chef for the culinary classes. In addition, you will plan classes, coordinate and pick up supplies, organize menus, hand outs, guest lists and promotion for each event (total of 6 classes), and assist at our annual July fundraising event.
This is a part time position, approx. 30 hour per week. Lesson planning, calendar and outreach begins May 1st. On site begins June 1st with flexible hours to accommodate teacher employment.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS
Prefer experienced teacher from local area. References required.

 

COMPENSATION
this position is PAID: hourly, varies DOE, $10.00 – $16.00
